Ai gentemmmm...

Eu comprei! Fiz o pedido dela ontem.

.

Há uns 3 meses atrás eu descobri a existência destas bonecas. Achei lindas, mas extremamente caras. Mesmo assim, fui me encantando cada vez mais por elas.

Assisti várias amigas de web adquirirem as suas, o que fez a minha vontade de ter uma aumentar.

No início, me senti extremamente infantil por querer uma boneca... depois vi que, na verdade, uma parte de mim nunca deixou de ser criança. Sou o tipo de pessoa que troca um belo jantar romântico por um parque de diversões fácil fácil.

.

Existem vários modelos destas bonecas Blythe, mas eu queria uma morena e acabei optando pela Urban Cowgirl, por causa dos cabelos que eu amei. A roupa eu não gostei, provavelmente vou vender o outfit dela.

.

Ainda vai demorar 1 mês pra ela chegar, talvez até um pouco mais... enquanto isso, vou me ocupando em garantir um belo guarda roupas para ela =)

É óbvio que vou tricotar e/ou costurar coisas para ela. Por isso vou abrir um marcador aqui no blog, com o nome "Blythe", pra jogar ali essas coisinhas =)

Ela ainda não tem nome, e precisa de um, é claro. Mas acho que até ela chegar já terei me decidido... rsrs.

Yes, I bought her! I ordered she yesterday...

About 3 months ago I discovered the Blythe World. The dolls are beautiful, but very expensive too. but i became enchanted by them.

I saw many people having their dolls, and my desire to have one increased.
At first, I felt extremely child for wanting a doll... then I realize that, indeed, a part of me never stopped been a child. I'm a type of person that easily exchange a nice romantic dinner for a day in an amusement park.

There are a lot of models of blythe dolls, but I wanted a brunette and I opted for the Urban Cowgirl, because of her beautiful hair. But I didn't liked her outfit, probably I'll sell it.

.

She will take about a month to get here, maybe more... meanwhile, I'll occupy myself doing clothes for her =)

Yes, I'll knit and sew for her. Because it, I'll put a new categorie here jus for it, called "blythe".

.

She still doesn't have a name, and she needs one. I think that till she arrives, I'll decide it.

One day, Walt Disney said something like this:

I love this beret, the details are so beautiful.

De todas as boinas que já tricotei, a Fern Glade é a mais demorada.

Dar a volta em 140 pontos que variam a todo instante leva muito mais tempo do que carreiras em meia. Mesmo assim, continuo preferindo o mais trabalhoso, por não ser entediante.

From all the berets I've knitted till now, the Fern Glade is the one that consumes me more time.

Knitting a row with 140 stitches that ranges all the time takes much longer than st st rows. But I still prefer this kind of work because that's not boring.

Wearing Glasses...

De uns 2 anos pra cá eu venho notando que minha visão não era a mesma de antes.

De perto, tudo é ótimo... já de longe... nem tanto.

A primeira vez que notei, foi um dia que acordei e simplesmente não consegui ver as horas num relógio que tenho no quarto, mas longe da cama. Achei que fosse só cansaço e não dei bola.

Este ano é que a coisa piorou.

Ler out-doors enquanto dirigia, só quando chegava bem perto. A mesma coisa com as placas de trânsito.

Não tinha nenhum problema com imagens, mas sim com letras.

Um belo dia fui assistir um dvd e... me assustei por não conseguir ler normalmente a legenda.

Então tomei a decisão de ir num oftalmologista.

I've been noticing about 2 years that my vision was not the same as before.

Near me, things are great. But far... not so good.

The first time I noticed, was a day that I woke up and just could not see the hours on a clock that I have in my bedroom, far from the bed.

I thought I was just tired and did not care.

But this year, things got worse.

Read Adds while driving, just when I got close. The same thing with the signs.

I had no problem with images, but letters.

One day, I was watching a DVD and... I got scared when I realized that I wasn't able to easily read the caption.

So I decided to see an ophthalmologist.

Fiz 3 testes com o médico.

Saí de lá com um diagnóstico de miopia e uma receita nas mãos: um óculos.

Mesmo o grau sendo baixo e o problema ser apenas para longe, a recomendação foi de que eu usasse o óculos em tempo integral.

Sendo assim, resolvi que iria buscar um óculos que ficasse bem em mim, que eu gostasse, independentemente de preço, mas eu confesso pra vocês que nunca me passou pela cabeça que um óculos de grau pudesse me sair tão caro... rsrsrs

I did 3 tests with the doctor.

I left the office with a diagnosis of myopia and a prescription in my hands: I had to wear glasses.
Even the problem was just to see things that were far from me, and my myopia been not a serious thing, the doctor said that I had to wore the glasses in full time.
So, I decided to search a good glasses, that looked great on me, but I confess that I never thought that glasses could be so expensive! hehehe...

Eu me apaixonei pelas peças da Carmim assim que as vi na vitrine da ótica.

Tinha gostado muito de uma que era toda vermelha, e desisti dela por achar que não combinaria com qualquer roupa que eu usasse.

Então decidi que essa era a minha cara: É preta por fora, para uma maior discrição, e, por dentro, uma mescla de vermelho, preto, branco e cristal, porque eu adoro cor e não consigo ser neutra.

Eu tenho alergia a metal, por isso a maior parte da armação é de acetato e o metal usado nas laterais é titânio, pra evitar qualquer irritação na pele.

I fell in love about the Carmim Eyewear as the moment I saw it.

I really liked a beautiful Red Glasses, but I gave up on it because I thought that would not be cool with all kind of clothes I wear.

So, I decided that this one were the right glasses for me: the front is black, more discreet, and the inside part is a mix of red, black, white and crystal, because I love colors and I do not like much neutral things.

I'm allergic to metal, so, most of it is made with acetate, and the only metal used (on the sides) is titanium, tu avoid any skin rash.

Faz quase 1 mês que estou usando os óculos... e confesso que ainda não me acostumei com certas coisas:

- Não consigo comer de óculos. É estranho, tenho que baixar a cabeça demais pra ver meu prato através das lentes... se a comida é quente, embaça o óculos!! hahaha..

- Caminhar na chuva de óculos? Nem pensar! Mesmo com guarda-chuva, algumas gotas de chuva saltam nas lentes, e... isso me irrita profundamente.

- Tricotar. Eu não consigo tricotar de óculos. O problema é o mesmo da comida: tenho que baixar demais a cabeça pra ver o trabalho pelas lentes e me dói o pescoço então... eu tiro os óculos para tricotar.

- Ficar muito tempo usando-os sem tirar. Começa a doer o nariz, as orelhas... rsrsrs...

- Limpar os óculos. Nossa, como eu odeio fazer isso. Por mais que você limpe, sempre tem uma sujeirinha de não sei o que na lente... fala sério!

- Lavar louça: o problema da água saltando na lente...

- Cozinhar: o problema do vapor, que embaça a lente...

- Acho que pareço mais velha usando óculos =(

Além disso, minha visão fica muito limitada. E deve ter mais alguma coisa que eu não me lembro agora.... hauhauha

I've been wearing glasses for almost a month... and I confess that I have not got used to certain things:
- I can't eat while I'm wearing glasses. It's strange. I have to bow my head too much to see my food through the lens... and if the food is hot, the lens got blurry because of the steam!! hahaha...
- Wear glasses and walk in the rain? No way! Even with an umbrella, a few drops fell on the lens... it annoys me deeply.
- Knit. I just can't knitting with the glasses. The problem is the same as the food: I really need to bow my head too much to see the work. It hurts my neck.

- Staying a long time wearing them without taking it off. Begins to hurt the nose, the ears... hahaha..

- To clean the glasses. oh, how I hate to do this! The more you clean, it is always dirty.

- To do the dishes: the problem of the water "jumping" on the lens.

- To cook: the steam problem, that blurry the lens.

- I think I look older that I am wearing glasses =(

Also, my vision got very limited with it. And must have something else that I don't remember right now... hahaha..

In April/2009 I bought these skeins:

*** Handpaintedyarn Lace - Italiano ***

Cada um dos novelos tem 777.2 metros de fio e eu tenho 1 novelo de cada cor.

A idéia original era tricotar um xale Revontuli com um desses novelos.

Porém, acabei descobrindo que este fio não faz um degradê, e sim uma mistura de cores, o que acabaria tirando o "charme" deste xale, e acabei desistindo.

.

Desde então, eu venho procurando alguma receita de xale para esses fios.

Tem muita receita legal no Ravelry, mas não acho algo que realmente me apaixone. Talvez eu não consiga visualisar o xale com este fio.

Eu queria uma receita que, feita com este fio, não escondesse o desenho (coisa que costuma acontecer com fios matizados).

Alguém já passou por isso? Alguém tem alguma sugestão?? Não me importo de pagar pela receita ou pelo livro que a tem.

Each skein has 850 yards, and I have one skein of each color.

The original idea was to knit a Revontuli Shawl with one of these skeins.

However, I noticed that this yarn doesn't change colors in a gradient way, but the colors get mixed, what would not be so interested for a Revontuli shawl, so I gave up this idea.

.

Since then, I've been looking for a great shawl pattern for these yarns.

There's a lot of patterns on Ravelry, but none that I fell in love. Maybe I just can't visualize the shawl knitted with this yarn.

I wanted a pattern that, when made with this yarn, didn't "hide" the lace (that could happen with this kind of yarn, because the way of the color change).

Someone there just faced the same problem? Someone have any idea of pattern that could be nice for this yarn? I don't mind paying for the pattern or for a book that contains it.

Bem, hoje não vim mostrar nenhum trabalho meu.

Essa bonequinha, linda, maravilhosa, perfeita, é obra da Belle Belica.

.

Eu achei o flickr dela no início do ano e me apaixonei pelo trabalho dela.

Ela torneia um pedaço de madeira no formato da bonequinha. Depois risca e pinta à mão, conforme o desejo do cliente, personalizando-a e tornando cada bonequinha uma peça única.

Ela faz até casais de noivinhos, muito fofos!!

Entrei direto na fila de encomendas dela (que por sinal é enorme!), mas vale a pena esperar para ter uma peça dessas!

E, supresa: A minha vez ainda não chegou!! hahaha

Mas então, como eu tenho uma dessas?

Eu GANHEI!!!

Isso mesmo! A Belle fez um sorteio de uma das bonequinhas da coleção dela e eu ganhei. Fiquei tão contente! Até porque ela é moreninha, como eu =)

Ela chegou na minha casa 1 dia antes do meu aniversário, então foi praticamente um presente =))

Ainda não decidi o nome dela, mas aceito sugestões =))

Well, today I didn't came here to show you any work of mine.

This beautiful, wonderfulm perfect doll is Belle Belica's work.

.

I found her flickr at the beggining of this year, and I just fell in love for the dolls she makes.

She makes a piece of wood in the shape of the doll. After it, she draw her face an clothes, and paint it, customizing it as the desire of the client, making each doll a unique piece.

.

I joined her list of orders (by the way, it's huge!), but worth waiting to have something like this!

And, surprise: My time to order it didn't got yet! hahaha

But then, how I have one doll?

I WON!!!

That's right! She did a raffle for one of the dolls of her collection and I won it. I was so happy! Specially because she is brunette like me =)

The doll arrived at my house 1 day before my birthday, so it was practically a gift! =))

I have not decided her name yet, but I accept suggestions =))

A 16 Year Old Dog

.

Dia 10 de Outubro, King (esse garotão lindo comigo na foto) completou 16 anos.

Isso mesmo! 16 anos!

On October, 10, King (this handsome boy on the picture with me) completed 16 year old.

That's correct! 16 years!

King é o vira-lata que eu mais amo nesse mundo. Tá velhinho o meu lindo!

Mas, apesar de ter uma idade bastante avançada para um cachorro, ele pula, brinca, corre, late, e tem todos os dentes na boca. Continua sendo o mesmo de sempre para mim.

Claro, apresenta alguns sinais de cansaço... mas ninguém é de ferro, né?

.

Ele teve uma doença grave quando era pequeno. O veterinário disse que ele não sobreviveria. Minha avó era enfermeira em um hospital naquela época e fazia soro nele todos os dias. Ele ficou bom. E pelo jeito, a vida dele já dura mais do que de muitos outros cães que o veterinário já cuidou.

Hoje, tá sempre faceiro e adora roer um osso.

E o brinquedo que ele mais gosta é um trapo velho. Vai entender?

King is the dog that I love the most. My adorable boy is old.

But despite having a relatively advanced age for a dog, he plays, jumps, runs, barks, and has all teeth in the mouth. He's still the same as always for me.

Of course he shows some signs of fatique... but there's no dog made with iron, right?

He had a serious illness when he was a puppy. The vet said he wold not survive.

At that time, my grandma was a nurse in a hospital, so she did serum him every day before going t work. He got cured. And by the way, his life has latest longer than many other dogs that the vet has cared.

He is always happy, loves gnawing a bone.

And the toy he likes the most is an old rag. Who could understand?

This camisole is one of my knitting projects that I liked the most, even thinking it could turned out better...
I think I'm gonna use it a lot this summer =)

A minha Cami ficou bem diferente da receita original (criada por Black Dog Designs).

Desta, acho que usei só o ponto em lace, pois para o corpo eu segui as modificações feitas pela Stephy (hapichick) para tricotar com circular e ter modelagem de busto, e, ainda assim, eu modifiquei mais, para que se ajustasse melhor ao meu corpo:

.

* Usei agulhas 4,5mm invés de 4mm;

* Movi as pregas para o centro, tanto na frente quanto nas costas;

* Antes de começar o busto, trabalhei 1 carreira em tricot, 1 carreira em meia, 1 carreira em *lac, 2pjm* para fazer os buraquinhos, 1 carreira em meia e 1 carreira em tricot. Assim pude passar o cordão para amarrar;

* No busto eu fiz 6 carreiras de diminuição invés de 9;

* Tanto na barra como no busto, fiz cordões de tricot invés de trabalhar só tricot;

* Para cada alça eu fiz duas tirinhas de crochet, para ficar mais firme.

My Cami turned ou very different that the original Pattern, designed By Black Dogs.

I think I just used the lace pattern from there, because for the body I followed Stephy (Hapichick) mods, and I also made another mods, to fits better on me:

.

* Knitted with 4.5mm needles instead 4mm needles;

* I moved pleats to center;

* Before I start bodice, I purled one row, knitted one row, worked *yo, k2tog* for eyelet row, knitted one row, purled one row. With it, I could pass a crochet strand in the holes.

* For the bodice, I worked 6 decrease rows instead 9;

*In the beginning and in the end of the work, I worked 1 knit row and 1 purl row 3 times, instead just purl 3 rows;

* I used 2 crochet strands for each strap.

Depois de pronto, fiz uma blocagem com ferro quente, para abrir o lace.

Fiquei bem feliz com a peça, acho que se ajustou bem em mim.

Eu adoro blusas mais soltinhas!

Tenho uma lista enorme de blusinhas para tricotar com linha.

Esta receita é muito fácil e gostosa de tricotar. Claro que, quando chega na parte de trabalhar todas as carreiras em meia é um pouco cansativo, mas acho que o resultado final compensa.

Everyone that came here once already know that my mom loves patchwork as I love knitting. I think I can say that this Needle Case unite both crafts. But I'll start this story at the beggining.

Há muitos anos eu tricoto, mas há dois anos atrás (mais ou menos) que eu comecei a me interessar pelo que eu ainda não sabia no tricot. Ou seja, antes disso, eu devia ter uns 3 pares de agulhas retas, alguma agulha circular e uns poucos novelos. Aí, quando comecei a fuçar na internet, descobrir blogs de tricot, etc, essa curiosidade aumentou, assim como o meu conhecimento no assunto e, como não poderia ser diferente, aumentou também a quantidade de material para tricotar.

Eu guardava minhas agulhas num cantinho do armário e, de repente, notei que eu precisava desesperadamente de um porta agulhas.

Sem problemas! Tem tantos por aí para vender né? Até tem. Mas nenhum que coubesse TODAS as minhas agulhas retas juntas. Todos os porta agulhas que eu encontrava eram muito pequenos. e o único maiorzinho que eu encontrei, achei feio demais...

I knit many years but two years ago (more or less) I started to be interessed about what I didn't know about knitting. Before that, I should have three pairs of straight needles, one or two circular needles and some skeins. But, with my curiosity, not just my knowledge improved, but the number or materials for knitting that I had also increased.

I used to kept my needles on my closet, but one day I realized that I desperately needed a needles case.
No problem! There are so many ones that you can buy on stores! but none that had enough space for ALL my straight needles. I even found one that was big, but it was so ugly...

Parti então para outra idéia: fazer meu próprio porta agulhas.

Pensei primeiro em fazer ele de tricot. Depois, pensando melhor, resolvi pedir à minha mãe que o fizesse pra mim, em patchwork.

Foram semanas até decidir exatamente como ele seria.

Eu dava a idéia, minha mãe levava isso para a aula de patchwork dela, para que, junto da professora, pudessem colocar em prática.

A coisa tornou-se difícil quando não achávamos em nenhum livro de patchwork qualquer coisa parecida com o que eu queria.

Então radicalizei!

Depois de decidido o tamanho do porta agulhas, eu peguei uma folha de papel de tamanho igual à volta toda da peça e fiz o desenho à mão livre. O morro, as ovelhas, as nuvens. As flores foram idéia da minha mãe.

So, I got another idea: to do my own needles case.

First I thought about knitting one, but after I decided to ask my mom for one in patchwork.

Weeks passed 'till I decide exactly how it would be.

I had the idea and my mom took it to her patchwork teatcher, so them could find a way for doing it.

Things got really bad when we didn't find anything near of what I realized on books.

So I radicalized!

After I decided the size I wanted, I draw in a paper the hill, the sheep, the clouds. The flowers were mom's idea.

Já que desenhei figuras bem simples, os moldes puderam ser tirados facilmente para recorte e quiltagem.

Esse é um trabalho personalizadérrimo (hahaha), criação da minha mente maluca, execução pelas mãos de minha mãe, com uma ajuda técnica da professora de Patchwork dela.

No fim, decidimos fazer uma ovelhinha de feltro, pra colocar na ponta do fecho. Não ficou uma graça???

Since I drew simple pictures, the molds could be taken easily to tranfer it to pieces of fabric, for cutting and quilt.

This is a very personalized work, created by my crazy mind, and made by my mom with a little help of her patchwork teatcher.

In the end, we decided to do a little sheep made with felt, to put on the zipper. That looks great, doesn't it?

Changing Patterns, Same Yarn.

Lembram quando ganhei ESTA lã da Monika? E lembram que comecei a fazer ESTE xale com ela? Pois é... isto foi em abril deste ano.

Aí eu tricotei metade do Gail e parei por causa de outros projetos...

Dia desses, resolvi pegar no xale de novo e... quem disse que eu me achei?

Não anotei a carreira que parei, contei e recontei os pontos, perdi mais de hora tentando achar qual carreira eu devia tricotar para dar seguimento, mas... não teve jeito.

Me enfureci e desmanchei tudinho.

Aí, me deu um desânimo de começar o Gail tudo de novo...

Então fui para o Ravelry, e, depois de olhar e analisar inúmeras receitas, decidi que ia fazer um Swallowtail Shawl.

Estou a ponto de iniciar a "Lily of the Valley Border", logo logo estará pronto.

E, quer saber?

Estou achando que este fio caiu melhor nessa receita do que no Gail que estava fazendo antes =)

Do you remember when Monika send me THIS handspun yarn? And do you remember that I started knitting THIS shawl with it? So... that happened last April.

I've knitted half of Gail Shawl, and stopped because another projects.

These days, I decided to finish it, but... who knows which row I stopped??

I didn't make a note about where I stopped in the pattern. I counted and recounted the stitches, but I couldn't find which row was next.

I got really angry because of it, so I ripped back it all, and I made a big yarn ball again.

Start Gail again seemed so boring to me...

So I oppened the Ravelry page on my computer, and after a little searching, I decided to knit a Swallowtail Shawl.

I'm going to start the "Lily of the Valley Border" now, and it will be finished very soon.

And, you know what?

I think this yarn fits better with this pattern than the first one. =)

Non-Silk Kerchief

Aproveitando que a chuva aqui deu uma trégua, consegui tirar as fotos do meu "Non-Silk Kerchief".

Como sugere a receita, usei 1 fio liso e 1 fio matizado para compor a peça, mas não usei o fio indicado (Noro Silk Garden Sock).

Não há dúvidas de que com Noro ficaria melhor... mas como aqui no Brasil é muito difícil de achar (leia-se muito caro), optei por fios naconais mesmo.

The Pattern suggests Noro Silk Garden Sock, one solid color and one nuanced. I didn't used Noro because it's very rare to find it in Brazil, and when you find is very expensive. It's cheaper to buy it in an international online store.

That's no doubt that if I had used Noro, it would be better, but, I ended choosing 2 nacional yarns for it.

É uma receita extremamente fácil, mas confesso que fiquei enjoada de tricotar cordões de tricot. As receitas que parecem mais difíceis por terem muitos pontos variados me prendem mais atenção do que as fáceis.

Tenho que admitir, talvez isso aconteça por eu não ser uma pessoa que se acostumaria com mesmice. Daí o porque me entendio em fazer coisas repetidas e/ou quase mecânicas.

Mesmo assim, adorei o efeito que a combinação de fios provoca.

Ao final, depois da blocagem, o xale ficou com 122cm de largura por 61cm altura.

The pattern is extremely easy, but I confess that working in garter stitch bored me.

That patterns that looks difficult because they have cables and lace interest me more than the easy ones, because the simple never change.

I have to admit, maybe it happens because I'm not a person that likes the sameness. That's why I get bored when I have to repeat sth so many times.

But I loved how the combination of these two yarns turned out!
